We Shouldn't Blame Society

I keep reading or hearing "Society tells us this" or "It's because of our society" there are the issues in the world we have today. Some people use society as scapegoat for anything controversial.

We will only continue to complain if we continue to put responsibility on a general concept and do not take action.

Every single individual has a contribution to society, as pageant girls love to say "to make the world a better place."

Some people will then blame the media, because it portrays how are society is as a whole. I believe the media can improve a lot, especially after watching Miss Representation (highly recommend this documentary, on Netflix!) BUT social media is also a contribution to society, and that means the opinions of regular people, not a news stand or reporter. Your reactions to issues, photos you post, and Facebook likes also reflect how the world is today.

We are the media, and we are society. We can't wait for someone else to issues outside of our own. Open and clear discussions on potential solutions would be more efficient than playing the blame game.
